Health and Safety Training - Half Day Manual Handling Training Course

More than a third of all over-three-day injuries reported each year to HSE and local authorities are caused by manual handling. Manual handling is the transporting or supporting of loads by hand or by bodily force. Surveys show that on average over a million people a year in Great Britain suffer from musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) which have been caused or made worse by their current or past work.

Who should attend?
People whose work involves moving loads and where workplace risk assessments highlight the need for training. Manual handling training should form part of every new employee's induction. The Manual Handling Operations Regulations place a duty on every employer to reduce the potential injury from manual handling operations.

Aims and objectives of the course:
The Course provides an insight into the risks associated with moving & handling and teaches safer lifting & carrying techniques. To Increase awareness of safe manual handling of loads and to reduce the risk of occupational injury while carrying out manual handling tasks in the workplace.
